Employee Activity Committee

We have made some changes in the Employee Activity Committee (EAC) donation request processing. As you may or may not be aware, Sunflower provides funds for donations to certain qualifying charities, community service organizations or educational events.

As employees, you have the right to request donations. The guidelines for these requests are specified on the guidelines below. One of the main changes is: 

  • Donation requests will be made in writing and must be educational, community service or charitable in nature.

  • An approved request can only be once per activity per employee each calendar year.

  • A sub-committee of the Employee Activities Committee will meet quarterly to review requests and determine the eligibility and disperse the funds.

  • They will meet the 1st Wednesday of February, May, August and November. Requests must be received by the month prior to this meeting to be eligible for funds during that quarter.

  • Deadlines for requests are the 25th day of January, April, July and October. If the request is received after those deadline dates, it will not be considered until the next quarter.

  • Requests may be submitted to employees on the sub-committee. The list of sub-committee members will be posted annually.
