Business Achievement Award

In 2008, the Kansas Department of Commerce gave awards to companies that exhibit excellence in recruitment, training and retention programs. Sunflower received this inaugural award because of our commitment to 21st Century Leadership, providing ongoing educational opportunities for employees, and our retention practices which has resulted in very low turnover. On the behalf of Sunflower, Megan Wagner and Clare Gustin accepted the award from David Kerr, Kansas Department of Commerce secretary.

Sunflower Electric Power Corporation was recently awarded the "Work Force Excellence Award" by the Kansas Department of Commerce.
