General Guidelines and Procedures for Tours

Tours are available to the public Monday through Friday. To schedule a tour, call Holcomb Station at (620) 277-2590. Once a tour date is scheduled, a confirmation letter will be sent to the contact person for the group.

Length

The tour will last approximately 1 ½ hours. If you need any adjustments to the length of the tour, please let the tour guide know upon your arrival.

Roster

We ask that you bring a list of the names of each participant in the group attending the tour. Due to the dangers in the plant, no one under eight years of age is allowed to participate in a tour.

Precautions

There are dangers in the plant, and everyone should use caution while on the tour. Please be aware there are a lot of stairs and grated floor areas that will be traveled. We discourage the use of high-heeled shoes; however, if participants are wearing high-heeled shoes, please use extra caution when walking along the grated floor areas. Open toed shoes or flip-flops are not allowed. People with pacemakers should be made aware of dangers due to electrical and magnetic equipment located in the plant.
