Vice Chairman - Representing Western Cooperative Electric Association
Mr. Evans was elected Vice Chairman of the Board in 2008. He first joined the Sunflower Board as an Alternate Director from 1981-1984. He rejoined the Board in 2000. He has long been associated with cooperatives beginning in 1975 when he was asked to replace a retiring Board member of the Farmers Oil & Supply Cooperative.
Evans currently serves as the President of Western's Board of Trustees, a position he's held since 1995. In addition to his cooperative work, Mr. Evans has been in banking since 1985 and, along with his sons, operates a feedlot, and raises forage crops, in addition to wheat and milo production on their 7,000-acre farm.
