Mr. Johnson has served on the Sunflower Board since 1983. In 1969, Bob and two of his neighbors were asked
to run for a position on the local co-op Board. He won that election and has been serving on electric cooperative boards since that time. His service began as a representative from Northwest Kansas Electric Cooperative and, following the merger, as a representative from Prairie Land Electric Cooperative. He held the office of Vice Chairman from 2000-2003. Although retired from farming, the Johnsons are focused on their family and traveling.
