Mr. Ratts joined Sunflower in 2007. He is responsible for purchasing, stores and warehousing, and contract administration for Sunflower and MKEC (MKEC is the KS Elect transmission and generation locations that were acquired in the sale of Aquila to Sunflower).

He began his power generation career in 1980 as a Plant Operator for Aquila at the Judson Large generating plant in Dodge City, Kan. In 1997 he relocated to Great Bend when he was promoted to Buyer/Planner KS Electric, and in 1998 he became Manager of Material Management.

Ratts attended Dodge City Community College and has attended numerous personal development and purchasing/inventory courses.
